This Privacy Policy describes how Common Hours ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, and shares your personal information when you visit or submit a form on commonhours.ca (the "Site").
Personal information we collect
When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies installed on your device. As you browse, we also collect information about the pages you view, the websites or search terms that referred you to the Site, and how you interact with the Site. We refer to this as "Device Information."
We collect Device Information using the following technologies:

Log files track actions on the Site and collect data including your IP address, browser type, internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps.

When you submit a form through the Site or subscribe to our newsletter, we collect information you provide, such as your name, business name, email address, and phone number. We refer to this as "Form Information."
"Personal Information" in this Privacy Policy means both Device Information and Form Information.

We use Form Information to:

Arrange meetings and provide information about our services
Send you our newsletter and other marketing communications, where you have consented to receive them
We use Device Information to screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and to improve and optimize the Site, including by generating analytics about how visitors browse and interact with it.
Marketing communications and consent
In accordance with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), we only send commercial electronic messages such as newsletters with your consent. Every message includes an unsubscribe option, and you can withdraw consent at any time by clicking unsubscribe or contacting us at the email below.

We do not sell your Personal Information.
Where your information is stored
Our service providers may store and process your information on servers located outside of Canada, including in the United States. While outside of Canada, your information is subject to the laws of those jurisdictions.
Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you and to request that it be corrected or deleted. You may also withdraw your consent to our collection, use, or disclosure of your information at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions. If you are a resident of the European Economic Area, you also have rights under the GDPR, including access, correction, deletion, and portability of your personal information. We process your information to respond to your requests and to pursue our legitimate business interests described above. Your information will be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States.
Do Not Track
We do not alter our data collection and use practices when we see a Do Not Track signal from your browser.
Data retention
When you submit a form or subscribe to our newsletter, we retain your information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete it.
Client engagements
Information shared with us in the course of a consulting engagement, including employee and organizational data, is governed by the terms of our consulting agreement with your organization, not this policy.
Age
The Site is intended for business use and is not directed at individuals under the age of 18.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
